Daily Prayer For September 16, 2015
Sun Sep 20, 2015 3:00 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Lord,
We thank you for the Bible and the life-giving words of wisdom and warning it contains. We thank you for giving us inspired teachings and examples of your power, strength, might and provision. We thank you for the encouragement your Word gives. We thank you for the many prophecies that were made and have been fulfilled that assure us you are who you say you are. You tell us that you will display signs and wonders in the sky, the stars, the moon and the sun. You tell us to watch, to be aware and to prepare when we see signs in the heavens and here on earth. We know that prophecies are being fulfilled every day before our eyes. No man knows the hour or day of your return, but we know that we are closer than we’ve ever been… Lord, despite our pain, worries and cares, help us to be concerned for the well-being of the lost. May we have an overwhelming conviction to share your love, your truth and the gospel with those who don’t know you. Help us to be your hands and feet to this lost and dying world… help us to be prayer warriors who intercede for those who don’t know you. May we have a sense of urgency and not put off what we can do today…as many of us have learned first hand, no one is guaranteed a tomorrow, and our last day can come unexpectedly and without warning.
Lord, help us to weigh everything in light of eternity. You tell us to not worry or be afraid…please help keep our hearts in perfect peace. Help us re-evaluate our priorities and be good stewards of our time, money and talents. Help us not to become so fixated on our struggles that we lose sight of the value of each day. Help us to overcome and to not get bogged down or stuck in pain or indecision… help us to let go and keep moving forward to where you want us to be in every area of our lives .
Lord, we pray for your intervention, help, grace and mercy for all who are displaced, in danger and all who are dealing with the damages and aftermath from natural disasters. We pray for the countries where refugees are pouring in. So many find themselves in such tragic, overwhelming circumstances that we can’t begin to imagine…so many forces are at work for good and evil…Father, this world is so in need of you…may we seek your face. We call on your name and ask for your help for so many who are in need. Please bless those who are giving so much of themselves to help others…whether it is their job or because they volunteer…please keep them safe, meet their needs, give them strength, energy, needed resources and comfort their hearts, which surely become overwhelmed in the midst of such overwhelming tragedy and difficulties.
Lord, we thank you for being greater than anything in this world. Our hope, faith and trust are in you Lord! In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
May God bless you and keep you safe in His care!
