Daily Prayer For January 30, 2023
Thu Feb 02, 2023 11:30 am
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for this new day and praise you, our good and gracious Lord. Thank you for your loving care and kindness and the hope we find in you.
Father, today as we gather, we pray the prayer that Nehemiah prayed, “strengthen our hands.” Please grant us your strength to finish the tasks before us. Our strength is small compared to yours. Our enemy knows that discouragement can lead to defeat. He thinks we will give up when our strength gives out. Some days, what lies before us seems monumental…impossible…more than we can face or handle. Please help us remember when we are weak, Jesus is strong in us. Please, Holy Spirit, prompt us to pray, “strengthen my hands,” when we feel overwhelmed and weary. Help us cling to your Word and claim your promises as our own.
Please impart your joy to us, Father. Nehemiah said your joy is our strength. Please help us experience the fullness of your joy. Help us recognize the blessings surrounding us and your strength within us. Please help us reign in the negative and draining emotions that undermine your joy. We can’t always change what is happening around us, but with your help, we can choose our reactions. Please help us make biblical attitudes our response in every circumstance. Help us learn to rejoice in all things. Please help us let go of the past, not worry about the future and just rejoice in this day you have given us. Help us find joy in simple pleasures, small graces, and kindnesses. Help us amplify the reasons we have to be grateful. Holy Spirit, please work within us so we are changed from the inside out and not easily influenced by circumstances. We want to be resilient, unshakeable, and stoppable in your power and might. We pray we will be so full of your joy and peace that it will be contagious to those around us.
Teach us your ways, Father, and help us be people after your own heart. We want to be obedient and humble and consistently grow spiritually. Please help us be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so we become more like Jesus in all we think, do, and say. We thank you in advance for all you will do. We are grateful we can ask these things in the mighty name of our Savior and Messiah, Jesus. Amen.
May you know God’s joy and strength as never before, friends!
