Daily Prayer For January 28, 2023
Thu Feb 02, 2023 11:24 am
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for another opportunity to gather and pray. Most of us have multiple friends and family members in hard, sad places. Our hearts hurt for those we know who are hurting. We wish we could shelter those we care about from pain and loss…we yearn to give them the rest their bodies and minds desperately need. If we were able, we would gladly ease their burdens…but we are limited in what we can do to help. Abba, what we can’t do, we know you can…so we look to you this day and ask for your divine help and intervention.
For all who are injured…for all who are dealing with long, drawn-out illnesses…for all who are in hospice care…for all who are ill while caring for others…for all who are grieving…for all who are dealing with more than one thing at once…for all who need a miracle…may each one feel your strength in their weakness. May they feel your comforting presence and peace envelop them. It’s so hard to watch loved ones fade away…it’s excruciating to watch someone suffer…it’s hard to say goodbye. We ask for mercy for all who will soon be with you. Please ease their pain and suffering, Lord.
You know, many are saying goodbye to multiple people simultaneously. Their hearts are so broken, and their sadness is overwhelming…please pour out your grace like rain. You tell us you are near to the brokenhearted, and you bind their wounds. You keep track of our tears…you promise to comfort those who mourn. We are grateful you are with each of our loved ones in their time of need and in all that lies ahead. We are thankful you can heal what we can’t, be where we can’t be, and be everything that is needed, not just today but every day to come.
We know Jesus wept…that He was well-acquainted with sorrow and grief, and He understands what we go through better than anyone. We are grateful for our Savior, who ensured that death, pain, suffering, and losses do not have the last word. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for interceding when all we can do is groan…we place everyone we know and all that concerns them in your hands. We know you love them even more than we do. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you for being our Healer, Comforter, Refuge, and Redeemer. We thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.
Sending blessings, hugs, and love to you, friends!
