Daily Prayer For March 28, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for your goodness and for the blessing of this day. Please help us to remember that you are the one who orders our days and the universe. May we walk with you today and picture you beside us… how privileged and blessed we are to know you and to have you with us in our comings and our goings.
Father, it’s so easy to grow impatient with others. We get frustrated when they don’t do the things they should. We become irritated when people are disruptive, argumentative or rude. We become upset when we feel our time has been wasted or we are not appreciated. We get antsy when we’re behind slow cars and with slow service. Lord, truly it is hard to comprehend how you see beyond our faults and failings to how we are going to be…how much easier life would be if we could see people and our situations the way you do.
You tell us to love our neighbors as ourselves, but we find that is so hard to do sometimes …please help us in this area… help us to love the difficult people in our lives…help us to have an agape love for those who have hurt us… please help us to see beyond the habits, personalities and traits of others that make them hard to be around… help us to recognize your Spirit within them..help us to see the good before the bad…help us to see their hidden hurts and issues that may cause their bad behavior. Lord, we are all such works in progress. May we extend the same grace to others that you extend to us…help us to see past the frailties and shortcomings of those you’ve put into our lives… help us to learn the lessons that you are trying to teach us through them.
Please meet us where we are at. For those who didn’t get enough sleep…for those whose minds are going 100 miles a minute…for those who are foggy headed from grief and depression…for those who are in physical pain or are ill..for those who have too many things to do and not enough hours in the day to do them….all of these things affect our decisions, our stress thresholds and how patient we are others, ourselves and our situations…but by your grace and with your help, we can get through all we face today with your joy that is our strength and with your love in our heart. May we feel your calming presence today and be grounded in these truths…we are loved, we are held, you are near, you are in control and you will keep us in perfect peace as our thoughts are stayed on you. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
