Daily Prayer For March 13, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

May we be reminded today what a privilege it is to be a child of the King…to be called and chosen and known by you. May we remember when we first came to know you and the fire and zeal that we had when we first came to Christ. May we carry with us the light that illuminated our hearts at the foot of the cross. May we remember the amazing grace that reached down and gave us new sight and saved us. We are treasured and adored by the Creator of All…You have invested in our lives with the precious blood of Jesus…you are not about to abandon us, forsake us, turn us away, or fail us. We struggle against the evil in this world…we have battles that are hard-fought and not easily won…but we are assured victory through our beloved Savior and Messiah, Jesus.

Lord, may we call to mind the words of scripture, hymns and worship songs that fill us with hope and encouragement…words that remind us of whose we are and that we are loved with a love that we can’t comprehend. May thoughts of you make us know that we will rise like a phoenix from the ashes of our shattered hearts and dreams. We serve a risen Lord who brings new life from death…He makes the impossible, possible. His ways and timing are perfect and He never fails… This day…this week…this month, could be when we see our prayers answered and dreams fulfilled. May we persevere and not give up, or stop believing… our victory could be just around the corner.

We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we know that you hold it and that you will fulfill your promises and your plan in each of our lives. You will reward us if we don’t grow weary in doing well. You will finish the good work you have started in each of us. Help us keep our eyes on you and not the clock, calendar, or the things that try to weigh us down or make us forget your power and promises. Lord, we rededicate our lives to you this day. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Create a right spirit within us. Lead and guide us in your ways and truth and draw us ever closer to you…we give you every burden and care, we trust you with our physical and emotional needs…we look to you, The Lifter of Our Heads and The Giver of Life, as we seek comfort and rest in your presence.We thank you and praise you as we ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen
