Daily Prayer For February 23, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

Today we want to lift up families to you… families where the members are dealing with stress, loss and grief … families that are filled with dysfunction and abuse… families that speak with hurtful words … families that are burdened by financial stress…families that are broken …families that are riddled with addiction…families that are estranged and separated…families that are overwhelmed because of disease and disability…

We ask for deliverance, Lord. We ask for healing… emotionally, physically, spiritually, mentally and financially.
For the marriages that are struggling, we ask for divine intervention that they might be healed. We pray for peace and restoration. We pray for kindness and understanding and for the golden rule to be remembered in homes. We pray that each member would treat the other as they would want to be treated and that they would love each other as they love themselves…let each mate love their spouse as unto you, Lord.

We pray for those who have difficult family members who refuse to change their ways, or their hurtful words and actions. Please show those in need how to set healthy boundaries…you did not call us to be anyone’s verbal, emotional or physical punching bag… it is not being loving or kind to allow someone to continue to be abusive…we can’t change anyone’s behavior, but we do have a choice how to respond… please lead and guide and grant wisdom, knowledge and discernment to all who are facing hard situations and decisions…please provide a way of escape for all who are in danger…for the single parent homes that are struggling financially…for those in need of jobs… for those who feel like they are struggling to hold on… please meet each need and give hope to those who are feeling hopeless…please grant your strength to endure…We ask that you would step in and be the head of the household for single mother’s and we pray you will be the Father to the fatherless and the husband to the widowed and divorced. Please provide for the men as well, Lord. They are not exempt from any of these struggles. Lord, please be the provider and the leader for each and every household.

Lord, we want to take back what the enemy is trying to steal from us. Help us not to shrink back in fear and think “it’s too late to do any good” or “what can we do?” Help us remember that there is power in your name…that we have Christ’s resurrection power in us…that we can do all things through you…that you are still doing miracles and the faithful prayers of righteous people still does much. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen
