Daily Prayer For January 25, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Sometimes, no matter how hard we try to avoid it, conflict is inevitable… there are times when we try so hard to make our words sound kind, yet despite our best efforts and intentions, feelings get hurt or our words are taken wrong…our best intentions are met with harsh accusations that couldn’t be further from the truth…some people just can’t see anyone’s perspective but their own…sometimes people who should know us well enough to know the truth, choose to think the worst, instead of believing the best…sometimes they won’t give us a chance to explain or work things out… it can be so disheartening when we have really tried our best to do and say the right things and things still end up a mess….help us, Lord in our difficult situations and relationships…please do a work and help us resolve the issues that need to be worked out with others…teach us and give us your wisdom so we know when we need to persevere in trying to mend relationships and when we need to just walk away… help us to learn how to pick our battles…
Lord may your will be done, not our own…please comfort us when our hearts are heavy. and when we miss what was… when we have trouble accepting what is…when we don’t know what the next step to take should be…when we just want to withdraw from others because our heart is tired of being hurt…

Lord, please help each of us with what ever difficulty we might be facing…help us to remember that you dealt with the same things when you were here…you tell us that if it happened to you, it shouldn’t surprise us when it happens to us…we think that we should be able to talk and work things out with everyone and sadly, that just isn’t possible.

We take comfort knowing that you go before us…you know our heart and intentions even when others don’t…you know where we need to improve… you are a faithful Father who never turns anyone away when they ask for help or wisdom. Help us to take responsibility for the things that we can change in our own lives and help us to not take on anything that is not our fault, our responsibility or our problem…help us so we don’t let a bad few minutes with someone ruin our whole day… Please close doors and open doors as you see fit…help us to remember that not everyone who comes into our lives is meant to stay permanently …please work in us and heal, lead, guide, comfort, renew and restore us according to your will and in your timing. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen
