Daily Prayer For July 4, 2016
Wed Jul 06, 2016 2:39 am
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Today we think of the men and women who founded the U.S.A. and how they were people of such amazing courage, faith and strength. They were willing to sacrifice everything they had, including their lives, for the pursuit of religious freedom and to live free from tyranny. Thank you Lord, that there are still such people in this world today… people who are willing to lay down their live’s for their friends, family and country. May we never forget, or take for granted, the sacrifices that so many brave people have made through the years, so we can live in freedom.
These are challenging times that we live in, Lord… but we know with your help and your strength, there is no challenge that we cannot overcome. The enemy loves to make us feel ineffective and useless. He loves for us to feel discouraged and defeated. He would love for us to say there is no hope and to believe there is no use in trying to make things better…both in our personal lives and collectively, as a nation. Our nation is in trouble, but there is strength in numbers and you are in the midst where two or more gather…so, we are joining together to pray for leaders, not only in the U.S., but around the world…we pray that those in authority, will come to know you and long to serve and please you above all else…we pray they will seek your wisdom and guidance to lead them as they govern. We pray for revival in our countries, Lord.
We pray for all who are being persecuted for their beliefs. We pray for all who are living in places where they have no rights…they are oppressed and freedom is something they have only heard about. Father, we pray that your Holy Spirit will move in this country and around the world… please bring comfort to those who seek you. We pray for protection and peace for the weary and downtrodden. We pray for deliverance for the Christians around the world who are being persecuted, imprisoned, killed, tortured and maimed, simply for their belief in you. May we never take for granted the liberty and freedom that we have been blessed with.
Lord, help us to be fearless in the face of troubling economic times…in the face of wars and rumors of wars…in the midst of unprecedented numbers of natural disasters…in the midst of a world that seems bent on removing you as much as they can from society … and in the challenges in our personal lives. Help us to go forward daily with the conviction and belief, that you are with us…that we matter…that we are here for a purpose… and help us to remember that one of the reasons we are here, is so we will pray for the lost in this world and to be a witness for you… May we stand strong…may we cling to the things we know to be right…You are with us, Lord and you are ruler over all… and no one will ever change that truth.
Thank you for all the brave people who have gone before us and who have been our role models of courage. We thank you for the dreamers and those who have held the belief that one person can make a difference…for all those who have acted selflessly in this world to make things better for all of us. We love you Lord and thank you for our many blessings. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Wishing you a wonderful day!
