Daily Prayer For July 15, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Once again we come to you with heavy hearts for all the sorrow and pain the world is facing today…Lord, we need you…in these troubling times where evil keeps persisting on destroying lives …where evil keeps trying to make us live in fear and make us feel unsafe… may we stand strong and be bold, because you are bold in us…this is not the time to doubt or waver in what we believe…it’s not a time to cower in fear… it’s not the time to look to anyone but you for hope….it’s time to place our faith in you…it’s time to remember who you are and to remember that we are yours…

We pray for your comfort for the grieving…we pray for healing for the wounded…we pray for strength for the emergency workers and medical personnel…we pray for rest for all who work tirelessly to fight those who commit crimes against humanity…Lord, the world doesn’t stop when there is a tragedy…life is still going on an ebbing and flowing with problems that are affecting others in different ways…we pray for every person who is need of your help, your protection, your comfort, your provision and your peace.

Lord, people are feeling battle weary and they need to be infused with your strength and with a big dose of hope…We thank you for the hope we have in you…the hope that makes us believe that this world and all its heartache, is but a very small blip on our eternal radar screen…soon we will see you face to face and every care, hurt and loss will fade away in the light of your glory and grace…There is coming a day with no more pain, no more sorrow, no more sin, no more selfishness and evil, no more suffering and no more death. You have told us to encourage each other with these truths…this world is not our home and we are only passing through. The pain we experience in this life can’t begin to compare to the joy that is coming. Our future is bright and secure thanks to Jesus and we are grateful for that. There is coming a day when the faithful will stand before you and be embraced by the nail pierced hands that made a way of redemption and escape for us …oh, what a day that will be!

We thank you that we do not grieve as those who have no hope…but we know so many do not have that hope to cling to…Lord, we pray that all who don’t know you will come to a saving knowledge of who you are…we pray that these tragedies will draw people close to you and make them see their need for you.

Lord, may people feel your nearness today. May we keep our eyes focused on you so we can have your peace that passes understanding. May we point the way to you. We love you Lord and we thank you that we are held by you this day. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
