Daily Prayer For February 10, 2016

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Thank you, for your patience and understanding…it is comforting to know that you “get us” when others don’t. Thank you, for standing by us always…sometimes it feels like we stand alone in this life, but we know you are faithful and you are a friend who sticks closer to us than a brother…

Thank you, Lord for being our rock we can turn to when our hearts are overwhelmed…many times what we are going through is compounded because we suffer in silence… sometimes our pain is for someone we care about and we know that if we say something to them, it will only cause problems between us…sometimes we keep silent because we fear judgment or a lack of understanding or compassion…sometimes we quiet because we feel shame or embarrassment… or because we feel isolated or alone…

Lord, we ask for your light to shine in the dark places of our lives…help us to learn how to give our burdens and secrets to you and then how to leave them with you and not pick them back up again… we thank you there is freedom in your presence…we don’t have to pretend, wear a mask or stay silent…we don’t have to worry that you don’t understand or care…with you there is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing…how blessed we are to have you as our faithful companion and confidant who never grows tired of listening to us, who never turns us away.…help us to release things to you, to walk in your freedom and to learn to count everything as joy…help us to be filled with hope and gratitude as we think on who you are and all you’ve done…all you’ve promised to do…help us to find refreshment so we can endure and keep pressing on.

You are the God of wonders and miracles…you have answers to prayers that we can’t imagine…you have a vision for our lives that is beyond anything that we can think or dare to dream…help us to not get caught up in the drama and burdens of life…help us to trust that no matter where we are in our lives, you see us, you have a plan and you will carry it out it at just the right time…good things come to those who wait on you…help us to wait well and with joyful expectation…help us to wait with calm assurance for your promised provision for our needs…help us to be glad that though we can’t see it now, every hard thing will be redeemed in some way…Lord, we are so far from where we want to be, but we know with your help, strength and instruction, we will get there. Please go before us this day and may we find rest in your presence. In the name of our Savior Jesus we pray. Amen
