Daily Prayer For February 28, 2023
Tue Mar 07, 2023 3:30 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for this new day and praise you, our good and gracious King. Thank you for your loving care and kindness and the hope we find in you.
Father, today as we gather, we pray the same prayer Nehemiah prayed, “strengthen our hands.” Please grant us your strength to do all we need to do. Our strength is small compared to yours. Some days, what lies before us seems monumental…impossible…more than we can face or handle. Please, Holy Spirit, when we feel weary and ready to give in to discouragement, prompt us to pray, “strengthen my hands.” Help us cling to your Word and claim your promises as our own.
Please impart your joy to us. Nehemiah said your joy is our strength. Please help us experience the fullness of your joy. Help us recognize the blessings surrounding us and your strength within us. Please help us control the negative and draining emotions that undermine your joy in our lives. We can’t always change what is happening around us, but we can choose how to respond and react. Please help us get better at responding as Jesus would. Please help us learn to rejoice in all things… let go of the past, not worry about the future and just rejoice in each day you give us. Help us find joy in simple pleasures and small kindnesses, even on hard days. Holy Spirit, please work within us so we are influenced less by circumstances and more by your Spirit. We pray we will be so full of your joy and peace that it will be contagious to those around us.
Teach us your ways, Father, and help us be people after your own heart. Help us be transformed by the renewing of our minds so we become more like Jesus in all we think, do, and say. We thank you in advance for all you will do. We are grateful we can ask these things in the mighty name of our Savior and Messiah, Jesus. Amen.
May you know God’s joy and strength as never before, friends!
