Daily Prayer For May 29, 2022

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
We’re so thankful you came to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted…that you came to bind the wounds of the broken-hearted and to set the captives free. We’re grateful you care about every aspect of our lives. You care when we are depressed and sad…when we feel overwhelmed and alone…when we feel afraid and weak…you understand everything we feel. We are thankful you long to bring healing and wholeness to every area of our lives.
Thank you for liberating us from the grip of sin and death. Thank you for seeing past our failures and shortcomings and loving us unconditionally. Lord, we don’t want to fail you in our times of testing. Please help us cling to you instead of things that bind us, hinder us, and keep us from living the life you’ve called us to. We know you want us to walk in your freedom, unencumbered by the weight of fear and doubt. Please help us be free from the things we keep hidden away as well…the hidden sins, the hidden thoughts that creep in of despair, anxiety, worthlessness, hopelessness, and feeling defeated.
You came to give us an abundant life…life overflowing with your peace…your joy…your strength. Please help us lay hold of every tool and weapon you give us so our souls can prosper. Please clean out any wounds we have allowed to fester. Help us let go of old hurts and grudges, and get rid of thoughts that drag us down or keep us chained to hurtful events or people. Please help us not settle for less than your best in any area of our lives. Please help us not to give in to discouragement when the going gets tough. Please help us cling to your Word like the life-preserver that it is. May we long for more intimacy with you, and may we feel incomplete when we are not spending time with you. We pray we will see our trials as blessings because they make us aware of our great need for you and draw us into a deeper fellowship with you. Help us remember blessed are those who mourn because we will experience your comfort…blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for we shall not want.
Please fill us, Holy Spirit, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray we will come to know you in new ways and grow closer to you than we knew was possible. In the name of Jesus, our Savior, and Risen King, we ask these things. Amen.
May you have a blessed day, friends!
