Daily Prayer For May 12, 2022
Wed Jun 22, 2022 2:47 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is an evening prayer…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Please help us shut our minds down at night and find peaceful sleep. We all have legitimate concerns and things that must be dealt with, but you don’t want us to worry. You don’t want us to lie awake at night tossing and turning, dwelling on things. You don’t want us struggling to carry the burdens we were never meant to carry. We know what you call us to do, Father…we know what the best and most helpful thing to do is… but for some reason, what should be so easy, we find to be difficult. Please help us quiet our minds, be still before you, and let go of the things that rob us of peace, joy, and rest.
Father, for everyone who has a hurting heart…for those who are raw with pain and grief from loss…for all who are struggling to pick up the pieces of their lives…for everyone who is ill or injured, and for those who are taking care of someone who is sick, injured or disabled…for all who are feeling overwhelmed or overworked, yet feel frustrated by all the things that remain undone … please come beside them and carry their burdens and make a way where there seems to be no way. Please send people to stand in the gap and be your tangible hands and feet to them. May they feel your Holy Spirit comfort them at this very moment.
In the stillness of this moment, with arms wide open and a heart ready to receive, we ask for your help to exhale any stress, anger, cares, worries, anxious thoughts, and frustrations and breathe in your peace. We humbly ask that you would remove any physical pain or symptoms of illness that may cause poor sleep. We ask that you would be with our friends and family we are concerned about. Please help them, comfort them and heal them. You tell us to ask, seek, and knock, so we are doing that now, Father. Please fill each person praying with your joy and peace until their cups overflow. We thank you and praise you in advance for all you will do and ask for your will to be done in us and our circumstances. We are grateful we can ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen
May you find peaceful rest and restoration tonight, friends!
