After I tried my hand at Sims 4 again, I came away once again very disappointed and disgusted after running into issue after issue with that lame game, so I vowed I would never leave my first love, The Sims 2, again.
When I did get back into my game, I realized that I didn't want or need an Uberhood anymore, especially because the version I was using was known to have issues and the her latest version was just too difficult to install. So I decided to just go back to my favorite hood, Pleasantview and start over. I will be continuing my backstories by incorporating (safely, by cloning via SimPE) the Strangetown characters the Curiouses and the Grunts into the new Pleasantview game.
I've been working diligently to resurrect the dead ancestors of Pleasantview and fixing them up but I messed the neighborhood up somehow (constant crashing) by giving them incomplete memories, in which a glitched memory system is the main culprit of hood corruption. So I started over again the other day but this time using Mootilda"s Hood Checker and didn't realized that EA shipped that game with incomplete memories and data which cause corruption in the long run and so I cleaned all that mess up. Not sure if the corruption for me came from the incomplete memories or SimPE becoming unstable again because I have to use a really old version of it to even access the character data, which is tricky business to begin with. The Sims 2 community has not been able to use certain aspects of SimPE to properly create. It appears that SimPE and it's site have been abandoned by it's creators so it may never be fixed and attempts to contact them have failed. Such a bummer...
Despite having become disgusted with the Sims 4 from all the issues I kept dealing with, I will try and upload all the Sims I created with it, but it will take some time (and energy, ugh) to post links to the CC I used since I've not been able to upload it to SFS (Keep getting server errors) since I finally worked out the snags (I think) that prevented me from uploading families. Taking and editing the pics seemed to be the hardest thing for me to do because the Sims 4 does not take good pics and I haven't have the heart for so long to struggle with it.
So stay tuned for my backstory series on Pleasantview and Bluewater to be continued (Strangetown characters will be moved to Downtown Sim City) and new character introductions.
I will also post some new video series I've found for the Sims 2, Sims 3, and Sims 4, so stay tuned for that as well.
