Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Lord,
We thank you for your light that guides us and gives us hope…we think of the beacon of light that guides ships into the harbor…what a welcome and comforting sight that light is when all seems uncertain… it brings hope and a sense of peace that all will be okay if they just keep their sights fixed on that light…they are reminded they are not alone…that there is someone on the watch to guide them. You are our watch-tower…our beacon in the night leading us through dark and uncertain waters to the safety of your refuge…your Word says you are the Father of the heavenly lights and you do not change or shift like the shadows…how grateful we are that we can always count on you to be there for us!
Lord, many are in the midst of real and figurative storms… they long for the safety of the known shore…many feel like they are adrift, lost in a sea of pain, change, and loss…you are so aware of everything each person is feeling…you feel our pain as if it were your own…you are our anchor of hope…the Bright and Morning Star…nothing seems dark, hopeless or impossible in the light of your glory…
Jesus told us that He is the light of the world and whoever follows Him will not walk in darkness…our dark times are only a passage to a more intimate relationship with you…a way to discover your faithfulness …the dark places of grief are not intended to be a place for us to stay…they are only a path to a greater awareness of you…you call us out of the shadows to be called children of the light…there are so many encouraging scriptures in your Word about light and darkness…help us to remember…help us to learn more…grant us wisdom so we can see how your Word and truth are applicable to our lives and the situations we find ourselves in…may your light cast out all fear.
Thank you, Lord, for your love and great care for us…may everyone in need find comfort, rest and peace in you…we give you all praise, glory and honor for all you have done and all that you will do. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen
Blessings be upon you friends!
