I've noticed, even though I don't own Seasons, that they display the hot and cold weather categories, so rather go with the ugly outfits the game chose, I selected something nicer from the base game and the packs I own.

I just updated my SimSelf, that's all. I don't really like playing Sims 4; it's lacks the depth it needs to be a good game. If you want good gameplay, you gotta stick with The Sims 2 & 3... cheers

This is very nice, Cinda! Where do you get your CC's? I've avoided loaded any in my Sims 4. But I 'trust' you to know what's best. I love heartpump

BB!
You just unzip the folder and place the files in your Tray folder. CC is included/encrypted in the files, so you don't have to put them anywhere else. I did link to each CC I used; just click on each underlined description! Remember that you need Get To Work, Outdoor Retreat, and Luxury Party Stuff in order for the CC clothing/jewelry to show up or they will be replaced with base game content. Enjoy!

I have updated my simself again (the last time) to make needed adjustments. (Check my blog for more info) Also, I have included the played version, in which she has a maxed out job in the Culinary as a Master Chef and all the skills she has; all the hard work has been done for you so you can just enjoy playing!
Please re-download this very much improved version.

I just tried to load your "Unplayed" Sim Self, but it gave me a message. Not available I think. When I loaded her from your Gallery it didn't load the hair, so thought I load from SG.

Question, When you load sims from the gallery, where do they go? Into your game or what, cuz I can't find them.

Also, if I upload something with CC's, do you add a link to where they can be found on TSR?

Sorry about that. I now recall deleting the old file instead of updating the file on Sim File Share. Thanks for letting me know. thankstup

I have now replaced that link and it is working now. (Note: I playtest all my sims but I just clone the unplayed versions. The Gallery version is the unplayed version also.)

When you download something from the gallery, the files will go into the Tray folder. If you want to save and back up something, look at the date and time of the files or use a blank Tray folder to download each creation so that you can back them up.

Now, is there something wrong with the Gallery Simself? Or Just the one on Sim File Share? I definitely need to try and fix any problems. The Sims 4 can be so wonky! unhappydance

For some reason, your Simself won't load. I finally was able to load the first one you have, but not the updated version. Oh well.

Well, the one I tried to upload from SG said the file couldn't be found. I tried to load the one from your gallery, and it loads Bald, no hair, so I loaded the 1st one. Let me check my tray hun. I forgot you told me to do that before.

I will try all that you said above and get back with you.

Remember, you must activate "Enable Custom Content and Mods" in the Game Options>Other settings panel. Then you will need to restart the game for it to take effect.

I'm gonna take a break, come back later. I still can't load them. They are not in My Library and I can't load them. I've followed your steps and I see them in my Tray and Mods. Moved the files like you said. I may need to remove them all together and start from scratch. I'm gonna eat and come back when I have a clear frame of mind.

I would try placing the files in a blank Tray folder and see if that works. If that doesn't work and you know the files are in your Tray folder, delete all your free standing files in your Sims folder and try to load it again. Also, make sure to enable CC like I explained above.

Nowwww,,,, let me tell you what just happened which is just downright crazy!!!!! I downloaded (tried) to, again from SG to load your Simself. Then as you said, I took out my main Tray and added a Blank Tray, then went into my game. Tried to download both Kevin and your Simself. Checked my tray - nothing... I then,,,, loaded a sim from my friend, and I see him in my Library. Why am I having so many issues loading your Sims? Have no idea why.

I see the stuff I loaded from TSR, but your Sims don't like me for some strange reason. That's weird....

There's nothing wrong with my uploads because I test, playtest, and install/reinstall my creations, even "unplayed" Sims, to make sure there are no problems and they are just fine. There must be a step you are missing.

Clarifying once again how Sims 4 Downloads work:

All Creations (Sims, Lots) go in the Tray folder, which is a combo of the Downloads, Saved Sims, and Lot Catalog found in The Sims 2 and Sims 3, whether they are downloaded from the Gallery or manually, like here on SG.

Gallery Creation files: All Gallery item files will be "saved" and downloaded to the Tray folder timestamped with the date and time you downloaded them.

Manually Installed files: Extract the files from Zip or RAR files and place the files in the Tray folder. The files will be timestamped with the date and time the Creator downloaded them from their game.

All CC/Mods that are downloaded from sites are to be placed in the Mods Folder.
(Creations made with CC in them, Gallery or Manual from a site, will have the CC encrypted in the files, so there is no need to move any of those files to the Mod folder.)

Make sure Enable Custom Content and Mods is checked in the Game Options>Other tab in settings to allow CC to show up in your game.

Lastly, if after installing files correctly the items still don't show up in your game, delete all the standalone files in the Documents>Electronic Arts> The Sims 4 folder. The Sims 4 can be wonky so deleting those standalone files will usually straighten out a lot of problems. Doing this, however, will reset your Preferences (aging on, freewill, tutorials, etc) so make sure to recheck preferences in the settings back to what you want.
(Note: Do not delete any folders, just the files that you see in the "bottom" of the Sims 4 folder.)

Hello Hun! I am having so much fun with Cinda and Kevin. You didn't lie about the chemistry tween them 2. Cinda's a little spit fire and I think it took sweet Kevin off guard how Cinda came on to him so quickly. giggle

I moved them in as roomies, but how things changed over night. I really enjoy playing these 2, so thanks so much for sharing. I will keep you updated on what's going on with them.
