Playing My Sims 3!
Well, figured it's time to give it a go in my Sims 3. Wasn't too bad, at least I figured out how to work the change of outfits. 
But after I bought my Sims some new clothes and got her a career, my gurl had a birthday and got Old! 
What the heck! I gotta figure out how to turn off the aging or up the aging process.
Won't be so bad after I learn all my options.

You turn the aging and story progression off in the game options panel. I have to play with the aging off and the story progression off or all my sims will get old and die on me or move away to a different hood before I do anything for them!

Oakie Doakie. Thanks, and I will go try that. I didn't do anything to my Story progression. I will check that.

Hi hun, here are a few screenshots showing how to turn on/off the aging and adjust it and how to turn off the story progression. Turning off story progression will prevent the town's sims from getting married, pregnant, get a job/quit their job, and moving out of the hood never to be seen again.

- In your sims lot, on the left panel select options
Select the Game Options tab and uncheck the Enable aging box
You can adjust their lifespan but you have to check enable aging first to change the sliders
Once you have adjusted their lifespan to what you want, uncheck Enable Aging as shown
To turn off Story Progression, select the Advanced Demographic Options and uncheck Enable Story Progression

Thanks hun! It worked. Only thing, on the last one, I don't see the Vamps, Fairies, Warewolves, etc. I just have (1) selection.

once you know how everything works BB
you will like it
I only played the game once
shamefully!..
I did not like it as much as sims2 playing
that is why I am always only on the sims3 for decorating
I have built many beautiful things there
that is the best I think at sims3
you can change the colors the way you want
you can color the ceiling
you have a good overview
and the movement system is great
also it also looks very realistic. at least I think so
only the simmies are very ugly
you really have to edit it ... otherwise it's not fun
you will like it

You are so right Poppy! I played my Sims 3 family about 4 hours the other day, and I was able to figure out how to remodel their house... 
Something I most "always" finding myself doing. It was hard at first, but after playing around with it, I was able to expand the downstairs 1/2 bath and install a shower. I also added an extra room upstairs and remodeled it to my liking. So it's not to bad at all.

They look to much like something out of a cartoon.

and yes you are right!
when I saw the game for the first time
I thought
ohh no .. I'm not going to like this
because I was so used to sims2
but after a while of inventing how everything worked
I was immediately happy with the game
and that's going to happen to you too .. lol
I would love to see your first home with your Sims family when you're done
it will certainly look fantastic
if you are looking for an object that can no longer be found on the internet
then maybe I have it somewhere in a folder for you
huggsss ...

Thanks sweetie, I'll keep that in mind. Right now I'm still learning how to get around. This my remake of my Andrews home.

because I had to learn everything and get used to the game
you do it SUPER supeRRRRrrrr .. BB
BB, maybe it's a nice idea for you
if you are all done with your house and family later on
and are used to the game
then you can also upload this family with your house
so that other simmies can download your house
it is a very simple step to do
although I have only done it once

I'll check with Cinda to see if that's possible. I guess I could've made a video on how I did it. Not sure if there are any restrictions like the Sims 2 has.
