Daily Prayer For August 18, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Father,

Please help us to rise up today and stand firmly on your truths…help us to cast off the feelings of defeat and discouragement…help us to remember that no weapon formed against us shall prosper… though the enemy would like to see us crippled and hindered by negative thoughts and feelings, help us to cast them off as we put on the armor that you have provided for each believer. Help us not to bear anything needlessly…help us not to forfeit the peace you offer…help us to take everything to you in prayer and to cast our cares upon you so we can walk in your peace, freedom and victory today…
Father, help us to live up to the things that you think about us…you have such faith and confidence in us…you call us friend…you believe in us… you call us more than conquerors…you equip us and stand beside us, no matter what we face…we are assured victory…we know how our story ends…we show us how to make it through the hard stuff… but we often fall short because we grow impatient, or settle for less than your best for us… we focus more on our “giants” instead of you. Father, help us slay our “Goliath’s”…the huge burdens and obstacles that loom large before us…help us to step out in faith as David did… even though he was just a boy, he was courageous and fully confident of his victory… not because of who he was or his own abilities, but because he knew you were with him and you were greater and bigger than anything or anyone he would come up against… He knew he could not fail because of you.

May our faith and our testimony point the way to you. May we make the most of this day, Lord. Please help us find joy in you today, no matter what we face…help us to see the blessings you’ve given us and see the works of your hands around us… thank you…thank you for your great love for us, Lord…thank you for the hope of salvation…thank you for the healing that is ours and for your mercy and grace that you pour out upon us. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
