Daily Prayer For August 17, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our, Father…

Today many who are praying with us are in places that we don’t understand…they are facing such difficult and hard situations… Sometimes, the things we deal with are because of mistakes we have made… and sometimes, we’ve done everything right, and yet we still can be in the place of being totally dependent on you because we are out of options and the only thing that can possibly change our circumstances is a miracle and divine intervention from you…
Help us to remember that you are in control and you are fully aware of everything that each of us are facing. Sometimes you allow things to happen so we will draw closer to you…so we will quit trying to do things on our own… You do discipline and train your children, like any loving Father would… Sometimes, you allow things to happen to wake us up before we go too far in the wrong direction or before we make a decision that can harm us… or to help us avoid something that might be even worse than what we are going through…sometimes, you allow things to happen so you can do a miracle…sometimes, you allow things so we will learn to trust you more… and sometimes you allow things to happen, so you can give us something better…help us to trust that you know what you are doing and you do all things well…

Father, we lift all the needs represented here…There are many causes and many reasons for what each of us are going through… each situation is different…but we are standing together and asking for wisdom and guidance and open doors for all who are in need today. Help us focus on you and not what is before us…help us to remember that you are so much bigger than any problem we face…you promise to provide…to hear our cries and meet our every need…if you are for us, it doesn’t matter who or what is against us…help our faith to grow and not flounder in difficult situations…
We lift the arms of all who are too weary and worn out to reach out themselves… We want to leave our cares, worries and concerns with you. We don’t want to fail in the time of our testing…we want to know you more and find at the end of each day, that we have done the best that we could with what we’ve been given and then go to sleep in peace and find rest in your arms. We thank you in advance for all you will do to help us, Lord…we thank you for your faithfulness and for the plan you are working in each of our lives. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
