Daily Prayer For March 22, 2018
Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:24 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Sometimes it’s easy to compartmentalize things from your Word and just pull them out at certain times…at Easter time we think about the words you said on the cross, “It is Finished.”… those three powerful words should have meaning and significance for us every day of our lives… because of what you did for us, we are set free from more than just the curse of sin and death. With your help and your power within us, we can be set free from worry. We can be set free from guilt, shame, anger, fear, bitterness and condemnation. We can be set free from carrying burdens that are far too heavy for us to bear…we can be set free from every chain the enemy tries to bind us with… Your victory is ours…every day…in every way… we are more than conquerors, fully equipped to overcome.
Lord, please help us to walk in victory. Far too often, we live as though we are defeated…we think as one who is defeated… we often gaze too long and too often at life’s temporary difficulties and forget that we have a Risen King who has empowered us with His own strength. We forget who is for us, who is beside us, who lives inside us and who fights for us…please help us to rise above the cares, worries and pain of this life. Help us to think of the cross and the empty tomb today and every day, so we can be filled with hope and your joy and strength. May those emotions and feelings that tug so deeply on us at Christmas and Easter time, stay ignited within us all year through…Give us a perspective that rises above the temporary to the eternal. Help us to stand confidently and courageously in the victory and peace that comes through you, Lord.
Please help us to soar with wings like eagles…prompt us to praise you when we don’t feel like praising, so we can enter into your presence and receive from you all we need to rise above our burdens and struggles…lead those who are weary and drained today beside still waters and restore their souls…please grant strength and energy to those who are ill and struggling to carry out the things they need to do…may we find peace and comfort at your feet today.
In the mighty name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen
May His joy be your strength today!
