Daily Prayer For January 7, 2018
Sun Jan 07, 2018 5:17 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for knowing what is deep in our hearts…our desires…our fears…our insecurities…our failures…we thank you for your patience, your mercy, your compassion, and kindness…Father, please take away anything in our lives that is not helpful, healthy, or productive. Please show us anything in our lives that draw us away from you. Help us to pay attention to what thoughts we entertain and help us to take every thought captive and to weigh them in light of your Word and truth.
Help us not to be consumed with worry, fear, grief, anxiety or negative thoughts. Help us to be rid of any sinful actions or thoughts that we think are just normal and innocent, but are actually harmful… help us to not be conformed to this world. Please renew our minds and make us more like Christ. You tell us that you give wisdom and understanding to those who seek it…you tell us to cry out for your understanding, insight, and wisdom and to seek it as if we were looking for hidden treasure…
Please take all that we are, all that we hope to be, all that we want in this life…we offer up these things to you… please don’t let us waste what precious time we have on things that don’t matter or that aren’t your best for us… may we hear your voice above all others…may your Holy Spirit convict us, lead us, prompt us and stir within us the direction we need to go and the paths we need to be on. Soften our hearts, Lord…help us to be teachable and pliable in your hands…help us not to struggle against you…may our hearts hunger, thirst and long for the things of you and not the things of this world…
Please help us to make the most of our days and to take nothing for granted. Make us hungry for more of you. Please use us…use all that we’ve been through for your glory. May people see you in us. May we trust you and love you more with each passing day. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
Blessings be upon you friends!
