Daily Prayer For April 25, 2017
Tue Apr 25, 2017 7:37 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
You tell us in your Word that you have a plan for us…a plan to give us hope and a future… there are many who are reading this prayer who don’t believe that promise is for them…all they see is their life is falling apart…some have been in a dark valley for a very long time and they have given up hope that things will ever get better…may everyone in that place find encouragement in your Word…may they remember all the stories of how you redeemed and restored so many people and situations.
Joseph, through no fault of his own, was betrayed by his brothers, sold as a slave, falsely accused and cast into prison…his life was hard and what happened to him was unfair, but you had a plan for him through those long dark days and years. The enemy thought he had destroyed Joseph at every turn, but Joseph never lost faith. He knew you were with him and before his brothers had their first evil thoughts towards Joseph, you already had a plan in place to redeem all that the enemy had meant to harm him.
Lord, waiting and traveling through dark tunnels and valleys is scary and sometimes very lonely… we can feel rejected, frustrated, angry and undeserving of our circumstances…but just like Joseph and so many others who have gone before us, you use those dark uncertain times to teach us to trust you…you use them to show your power and to remind us that there is nothing that is out of your control. Your timing and ways are perfect. You are standing with each of us now and you are longing to lead us and show us your great and mighty works…we pray for strength for the day…we pray for relief from physical and mental pain…we pray for provision for every need … we ask for your Holy Spirit to speak peace, bring comfort and give rest to each one who is praying with us.
You are so good, kind and loving and you will not fail to answer all who call on you in truth. Please still our hearts and calm our minds and lead us on the narrow road that leads to life and to you. Thank you in advance for all you will do. Help us not to look back with regret, but forward with faith and hope. Help us to live with an attitude of expectancy, believing that you are faithful to keep your promises and word. In Jesus’ name we ask these things, Amen.
May the Lord bless you and the rest of your week!
