Daily Prayer For April 18, 2017
Wed Apr 19, 2017 5:42 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Father,
As we gather together today, we lift up all the places in the world where there is fighting, rioting, terror and violence going on. Unless we live in places like the Middle East, we can’t imagine what it is like to live in chaos and fear and with suffering all around. We don’t begin to know or understand all that is really going on in these places we only hear and read about in the news, but we do know there are innocent people being killed. We hear of people who are being tortured and murdered for their faith. We know there are people who think that violence against even small children is okay. We are thankful that there are people who are trying to right the wrongs and fight for freedom… Lord, please intercede and overcome evil with good.
Lord, you tell us to pray for each other, so we ask that you will hear our collective cries. We pray for the safety of innocent lives who are in danger. We pray for protection and deliverance for people around the world who are being persecuted for their faith. We pray for protection and deliverance for all who are being sold into slavery, sex trafficking , forced labor and marriages. We pray for those who are afraid to walk down their streets for fear of being attacked, shot, having acid thrown on their faces, or some other horrendous act because of some perceived wrong…we pray for those who must live in fear from their own family members and for those who have no place to run or way of escape. We pray for all the people who do such evil things to have a life changing encounter with you.
Please help us to be vigilant with our prayers and to be steadfast in our faith. Help us to keep our eyes firmly fixed on you while caring for the well-being of others. Many of the people who are praying with us, are hurting themselves. We lift each one up to you and all of their needs. You tell us the faithful prayers of the righteous does much…so we are praying now and asking that as people are crying out to you in their circumstances they will see you and feel your presence. May they come to know you as their Lord and Savior, the God of all Comfort and the Prince of Peace. In the name of our Jesus we ask these things. Amen.
May the Lord keep you safe in His care!
