Daily Prayer For February 5, 2017
Mon Feb 06, 2017 5:47 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Father,
Thank you for this day. Help us to find the blessings in this day. Like weeds that overtake a garden, our cares, pain, and sin, can overtake us if we’re not careful. Help us to take our thoughts captive…help us to dwell on all that is lovely, pure, holy and true. May we see the works of your hand all around us.
Life is so fleeting and the days and years go by like the blink of an eye…you tell us our lives are like a vapor and we really don’t understand that truth until we are older…please help us not to waste our days… help us to live and love like there’s no tomorrow…help us to take nothing for granted… help us to make the most of what we have and not spend our time looking towards the past. Help us to take time to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells that are around us… to take time to treasure and enjoy the company of those we love… please help us not to squander one more day of our lives wishing for what was or what could be, help us to live and appreciate where we are at this moment…help us to fix our hearts on things of you and all that is eternal… help us to find rest in you and appreciate your goodness. We may have pain and we may have sorrows, but there is still your joy in the midst of such things…help us to see each day as a precious gift from your hand…
Father, we know there are so many who are praying with us who are in such hard, lonely, difficult places. Please let them see that you are with them, that you are beside them…may they trust that you are leading them through the dark valleys to the place of still waters and green pastures where you will restore their soul… they may feel that they will never smile or feel joy again, but you promise that they will. May they find comfort and peace knowing that better days are coming and that you are their Shepherd who promises to meet every need. We praise you and give you glory and honor. In the name of our beloved Jesus we pray. Amen.
May you be filled to overflowing with His joy and peace today!
