Daily Prayer For July 11, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
As we come before you today, we lift everyone to you who is having a hard time today. Please envelop each one who is reading this with your Holy Spirit and your loving embrace. Help us to picture you cradling us, hugging us and reassuring us that everything will be okay. Lord, sometimes life is just hard and it hurts and there is little that can be done except to cry, pray, trust and turn to you. Perhaps you allow these times so we can know that you are the one who catches us when we fall …you are the one who holds us up and sustains us when we are weak…you are the one who carries us when we are too tired to walk, or even crawl.
Lord, help us to make the time to rest at your feet each day. In the stillness and in the solitude of this moment, may we be ministered to by you. Help us to envision a safe place where we can go to be surrounded by your warmth, joy, peace and love. Lord, please, refresh us. Please give us relief from the trials of life. Please gather to yourself all who are worn down from constant pain and illness. Please hold in your loving embrace, all who are battle weary and overwhelmed by the cares of this world. Lord, you promise to give rest to the weary and so we are claiming that promise today…we pray that your peace will overflow in us to dispel the fear, worry and anxious thoughts that try to overwhelm us.
Thank you for being there for us day in and day out. Lord, we look forward to the day when you right all the wrongs and when evil is vanquished…when there will be no more illness, sin, hate, pain, poverty, war, suffering, or death. Lord, help us to keep holding on and pressing in to you until you call us home. We need you, Lord and we come with open arms and ask you to fill us as only you can. Please go before us this week. Make the rough roads smooth and the crooked places straight. Lead and guide us in all that we say and do. Please be with our friends and family and meet their every need. We, thank you and we praise you for your greatness, faithfulness and goodness and for our many blessings. In the name above all names…in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
