Daily Prayer For March 11, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father God,

As we gather together today,we ask to feel your presence… we ask to be filled with confidence and holy boldness. We know that our salvation comes from you…you are the Steady Rock and The Foundation upon which we stand…you are our Defense and our Fortress…no one can move us from your side…

Lord, we are told we should wait on you with expectation…you are the God who delivers and protects. King David called you, ” my Rock of unyielding strength and impenetrable hardness.” These words paint a picture of your power and might and should make us feel empowered as we face adversity and hardships… the same power that raised Christ from the dead is within us…Father, may these words bring courage to those who are feeling powerless and overwhelmed…may these words inspire and bring hope to those who are feeling defeated… The Psalmist says, “we should trust in you…lean on you… rely on you… and have confidence in you all the time”! He reminds us to pour out our hearts before you, because you are our refuge and high tower.

Father, as we and our loved ones face health challenges….as we face heartaches and heartbreaks…as we deal with financial difficulties and troubled relationships…as we hear of more corruption, lies and deceptions from those we are supposed to trust…as we hear of one natural disaster after another… we are reminded that we should not be overwhelmed or afraid, because we are told it would be this way from the beginning…we are told we would hear of wars and rumors of wars and see family members turning against family members and people falling away from the faith… you told us not to fear, but to keep our hearts and eyes open and to be watchful…to be prayerful… to look to you, because you have made a way for everything that we will face. Father, may we remember who we belong to this day…may we remember that all power belongs to you and that you watch over your children as a loving Father.. You are full of mercy and loving kindness…. nothing shall be impossible for us to overcome, because we can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength.

Father, may we press in to you and keep pressing forward in your strength and with your vision…may we rise up and know that you can make our inner lives calm and serene …you offer us a peace that defies logic and circumstances…you offer us your strength, power, might and wisdom… May we seize firmly and boldly all that you offer us today. You are great, Lord and so worthy to be praised! May we serve you well, and bring glory to your name. We look forward with hopeful expectation to what you will do in us and through us. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
