Daily Prayer For January 18, 2016
Sat Jan 23, 2016 10:11 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
So many are struggling to find peace in their lives …so many are in hard, tiring and overwhelming places…Lord, may each one feel your touch today…may they feel your strength flow through them…may they feel your presence and find your peace even as we pray… Lord we are grateful that we don’t have to wait until our circumstances are better to receive your peace … your peace that defies understanding and circumstances… your peace that the world can’t give or take away…you offer it now…to anyone who is willing to trade their cares, sorrows, fears, failures, questions, anxieties, and turmoil for your peace…you offer it to those who are in hospitals or those who are stuck at home …to caregivers…to the anxious, worried and stressed…to those in abusive or unhealthy relationships … to those who are in a pit of depression and those who are confined in the darkest prison cells…there is no place we can go that you are not there … there is no pit so deep, that your love, grace and mercy cannot reach down and shine on us and turn the darkness into light…you are with us for the long haul…ever patient, always eager to help, always longing for us to be willing to receive more of you and all you have to offer…you never force us, you never fail us, you never let go of our hand…Lord, we want to receive all that you have to offer…we want to receive every blessing you have for us…we bow before you, Lord and ask us to fill us to overflowing with your peace, comfort, grace and goodness…make us more like Jesus please…
Father, may we all find the strength and faith to step out and trust you in ways we’ve never known before…may we learn to praise you in the midst of adversity… may we come to know you in the same way that Job, Daniel, Joseph, David, the Apostles and Corrie Ten Boom and other heroes of faith did… May we be able to bear witness that your joy is our strength…may we be able to speak from first hand knowledge that joy is not found in things, or only in certain circumstances, but Your joy is available for all who have faith in you and who dare to trust and believe beyond what they can see or feel… You are the God who gives and takes away with our best interest in mind… you are good, even when our circumstances are not. You are faithful, even when we are not…You will keep redeeming and renewing and cleansing and purifying until the day we are called home. Lord, we thank you for the hope you give us…we thank you that one day all the wrongs will be made right…that one day we will see everything that has been clouded and hidden from our vision…we thank you that one day we will fully understand how all these trials and all the adversity worked for our good and your glory. We thank you, that by the blood of Jesus, we are made whole, pure, holy and blameless. We love you Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Praying you come to know Him and love Him in new ways!
