Daily Prayer For December 5, 2015
Sun Dec 06, 2015 5:14 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
How grateful we are for this new day of life…thank you for the many blessings you give us, Lord. We know that every good thing we have comes from your hands. We thank you for the shelter we have, the food we eat and the people who love us. We thank you for this day and the promise and hope that it holds.
Lord, the events that happened this week in San Bernardino remind us how quickly life can change in an instant. Lord, if there are things that are not right in our lives, help us to not put them setting things right. If there are things we need to change within ourselves, help us to seize the opportunity to change. If we have troubles in any of our relationships and we can change them, help us to make that a priority. Help us to not put off things thinking, “oh, I can do that tomorrow”…we are not guaranteed tomorrow…we only have this day, this moment… the Bible says life is but a vapor that passes quickly…our lives here are like a blink of an eye compared to eternity…help us not to take anything for granted…help us to live life to the fullest so we have no regrets. Help us to live our lives with eternity in mind every single day…making the most of our days not for ourselves, but for you…help us not put off speaking to others about their salvation…about Jesus and His saving grace…
Lord, during this Holy season we are reminded of the incredible gift that Christ is to the world…how He humbled Himself to come and live in human form to save us…to give Himself for us…help us to not ever take His sacrifice for granted…help us to treasure our relationship with you and not take it for granted…help us to see our lives as precious gifts…yes, life can be very hard…it can be full of pain, hardships and losses…but these things can’t begin to compare to the joy that is coming. Help us to spread the good news of this season and how we can carry the hope and joy of Christmas in our hearts every day that we live…help us to live with joy in our hearts for the indescribable good news that a Savior was born to save this world from sin and death…we have a King…The Prince of Peace, who lived and died so we can have eternal life…this life as we know it will fade away and we will never have to deal with loss, pain, evil or death again…there is coming a day when we shall behold you and your glory face to face…the things of this world will pass away but you shall reign forever and as your children we will share a rich inheritance because of Jesus…thank you Lord…thank you for your great love for us…for your care for us…for your promises…for our salvation. We love you and praise you. We give you this day and all that is in it. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
May the Lord’s blessing and favor be upon you!
