Daily Prayer For December 3, 2015
Thu Dec 03, 2015 10:31 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to you with heavy hearts today…you know there was another senseless shooting of innocent people…we thank you, Lord for the wonderful work that all the officers have done to prevent even more loss of life… We thank you that the suspects were stopped before they could hurt anyone else.
We lift up all the families who are grieving the loss of loved ones today. We pray for those who are still waiting to hear if their friends and loved ones made it out okay…we pray for those who are wounded and recovering…we pray for all the responders who have had to pull long shifts and have to deal with fatigue and weariness today…
We ask Lord for your comfort…we pray for the clients of the Inland Regional Center and their families….we pray for all who work there… for all who lived in the neighborhoods that were affected by all that was going on…so many people will feel less safe today…so many will have anxiety and have to deal with things like PTSD because of the traumatic things they experienced…
Lord, for every person who was affected by this tragedy, we ask for your comfort and healing hand to be upon them…we pray for everyone around the world who is struggling with the aftermath of traumatic events in their lives. Lord, we know you are The Great Healer and Great Comforter…please calm rattled nerves and anxious minds, please give rest to all those who couldn’t sleep…please restore the sense of stability and safety that has been shattered…
You tell us in this world we will have trials and tribulations, but to not fear because you have overcome the world… You tell us to ‘look up because our redemption is drawing near”…help us to keep our focus on you so we won’t become overwhelmed…help us to cast our cares, anxieties and worries at your feet, Lord…we know we need to be alert in our world, but we don’t want to become paralyzed with fear or worry…that is exactly what the enemy wants to see happen…he wants to see us surrender our sense of safety, our peace of mind, our ability to relax and be at peace…only you can give us those things in the midst of storms, Father….only you can help us to be unafraid in the face of danger or adversity…please be our stability in this changing and increasingly unstable world…bathe our minds with your soothing balm … be our refuge and strength, Lord…
Please help us to remember that you are still on the throne and you are still in control…you are our refuge and Prince of Peace. Though the world may crumble and burn around us, we are safe in the shelter of your wing and no matter how many traumatic events we go through…no matter how bad of a beating we may take from the things that come against us…you are with us…we are secure…we are held and surrounded by angel armies …and we are not defeated….we know how everything is going to end and the victory is already won and secure
Please go before us today, Lord and be our peace. Please meet the needs of my friends and help them to find rest, comfort and a sense of security in your arms today. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His favor shine upon you and give you peace!
