Daily Prayer For October 6, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

How grateful we are for your peace…what an amazing gift Jesus left for us…the possibility of having peace no matter what our circumstances…the gift of peace that can replace fear, worry, doubt and anxiety…a kind of peace that the world can’t give or take away…something that is from your hand only…it is eternal and flowing from Jesus Himself, The Prince of Peace…

Lord, help us to step out in faith…help us to trust you and be bold and courageous in our faith, so we can have your peace instead of fear and worry…help us to take our thoughts captive and to make them focus on you so we might find your perfect peace… help us to remember that your peace brings comfort… it quiets our minds and spirits, it is confident that you are in control of all things and that you do all things well…

You tell us not to not focus on the cares of this world, but to focus on things that are above…this life is so fleeting and our trials are so temporary when compared to eternity and all that is to come…help us, Lord, to do these things that don’t come naturally to our flesh…help us to be disciplined and determined in keeping our minds focused on you so we might have your peace at all times…we know you allow us difficulties so we can learn to trust, so we can see your promises in action…if we never had any problems, we wouldn’t know that you could solve them… we wouldn’t know what a gift and comfort our faith is if it was never tested…

We praise you and thank you Lord, for your faithfulness and for your watchful eye that is always upon us…we thank you for hearing every cry and for knowing what is in our hearts when the words won’t come…Lord, for every hurting heart…for every weary body and mind…for those who are anxious and overwhelmed, we ask to be filled with your peace and comfort…we pray for the courage and fearlessness to allow ourselves to trust you like never before…to trust your promises instead of our fears… we ask for the wisdom and diligence to turn our worry time to prayer time…we pray to see spiritual growth as we step out in faith to do the things that you command of us…

We love you, Lord and we thank you for your grace and mercy… we thank you for helping us to handle all that we are given… we thank you for allowing things that will take us beyond our own strength, so we can find yours in abundance…we thank you for providing our daily needs and for giving strength for the day, one day at a time. Thank you for never giving up on us…for believing in us when we can’t believe in ourselves. Thank you for understanding our doubts and fears and for caring for us enough to keep encouraging us to move forward so we can experience the fullness of your peace and joy. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
