Daily Prayer For October 1, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Today we come before you and we give you thanks. We are told that whatever we do, in word or deed, we should do in the name of Jesus and give thanks to you through Him…we are told to give thanks to you because you are good…to give thanks to you, Lord of Lords, because your love is eternal and faithful…we are to give thanks to you for your indescribable gift, Jesus…we are to never stop giving thanks…we are to overflow with thanks…

Lord, for many who are praying with us, they are offering a sacrifice of praise today. Their hearts are heavy and they are not feeling like praising, but praise will always lift our spirits…it lifts us to a place that is beyond our struggles…it helps us to find peace as we enter into your presence. Help us to remember that when we praise you through our hardest times and struggles, it is a witness to those who instead of turning to you in difficult times, turn to worry and fear…it’s a witness to those who do not know to turn to the shelter of the most High God…they do not know there is safety in the shadow of your wing…they do not know that you fight for us, that you protect us, that you care for us and love us…

Lord, life is hard and we can’t imagine navigating through the trials and turmoil without having you beside us…yet there are so many who are doing just that…so many who don’t know you as their Lord and Savior…they don’t know the peace you offer…the strength you offer…the healing, hope, salvation and redemption you offer…Lord, we thank you for who you are and for all you do… we lift up our loved ones and friends who don’t know you…we pray they will come to know you as their Lord and Savior… please keep drawing people unto yourself…we know it’s your wish that none should perish without you…we are humbling ourselves before you and calling out to you and praying for revival…praying for people to repent and find salvation through Jesus…Lord, with a sense of urgency we ask these things…

We thank you for working, even though we may not see what you are doing…we thank you for your protection in ways that we won’t see this side of heaven…we thank you for the many things you have already seen us through during our lifetimes and we are thankful for the assurance that you will continue to watch over us, guide us, protect us and love us until you call us home. We love you Lord. We thank you for knowing our needs before we ask, and we thank you in advance for the provision to those needs that is already being worked out. We give you praise, glory and honor and ask these thing in Jesus’ name. Amen
