Daily Prayer For January 1, 2023
Thu Feb 02, 2023 10:39 am
Hello Friends! Happy New Year! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for bringing us to the beginning of a new day, month and year. Thank you for the new opportunities before us to make a fresh start and grow closer to you.
At this moment, we rededicate ourselves to you. Please be at the center of our lives and homes, and help us be in the center of your will. We ask that you help us become the people you want us to be so we fulfill your plans and purposes for our lives. We often don’t know how or where to start to make necessary changes in our lives, so we ask for Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us in the coming year. Speak to us, show us and teach us the things you want us to know and change. Please strengthen us and give us the courage to live boldly for you. Whatever is within us or around us that needs to change, please grant us wisdom, knowledge, discernment, and the discipline and faithfulness we need to do what you call us to do. Please help us have eyes to see and ears to hear as you do.
We thank you for all you saw us through last year. It was not an easy year on so many levels. We know things aren’t going to miraculously become easier in our world just because the page on the calendar changed, but we ask once again for your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We know spiritual battles are raging all around us. Please help us fight the good fight, run our races with endurance, and to be filled with your light, hope, and peace in all we face. We are grateful you have already seen all of our days before we have lived even one, and you hold us, and all that concerns us safely in your hands.
The years are going by so quickly, Abba. Please help us make the most of our days and to live and love well. Please help us grow in your wisdom and knowledge and grow closer to you with each passing day. We give you all we are and all we hope to be and ask you to have your will and way in us and through us. We love you, thank you, and praise you for all you are, all you do, and all that is to come. We ask these things in the name of our precious Savior and Messiah, Jesus. Amen.
May the coming year bring you and your loved ones joy, peace, continued healing, and many blessings!
In His love,
~Hope For The Brokenhearted
