Daily Prayer For September 25, 2019
Wed Sep 25, 2019 4:47 pm
Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Some days are just so hard and frustrating. People have differing opinions and ideas, even among believers. It’s incredible how we can see and hear the same things, and yet our perceptions and interpretations are so different. The enemy is always working to cause division. This is nothing new. Paul spoke about this in his writing to the Philippians.
Please help us not to get hung up on divisions, differences, and quarrels. Help us to have the mind of Christ and to see things through His eyes. Help us to have patience and compassion and to show your mercy and grace, especially to those who do not show us the same kind of respectful treatment. These are such incredible times we live in. It’s so easy to be filled with anxiety, anger, and stress… especially as people make troubling decisions and choices that impact our lives.
Please grant us your wisdom and discernment. You say we should be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. We ask for your help to be able to be like that. Help us to be discerning and aware, so we can avoid those situations that will bring us down, steal our peace, stumble us, or sidetrack us from the journey and path you intend for us. Help us to be wise stewards with our time and energy, so we don’t waste any time on senseless conflicts or disputes. Help us to turn our worries and cares into prayers.
Please shine your light of truth on all that is hidden and reveal the schemes of the enemy. Please overcome evil with good. Please prompt us to be committed to praying for our leaders and country. Many battles are raging that can only be won when we are on our knees. May we remain steadfast and vigilant. Help us to remember that prayer can change things…worry, complaining, being anxious, and stressing out will only harm us.
Please draw us close to yourself and may we hear your voice above all others. Please fill us with your peace and help us to focus more on you, our problem solver, than on our problems. Help us not to grow weary in well-doing. We give you this day and all that’s in it and commit everything to your hands. We are grateful that you are in control, and we don’t need to be anxious or afraid. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen
May you feel His peace to overflowing today!
