Daily Prayer For May 23, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Our Father,
You are love and those who abide in you, abide in love. We love because you first loved us…you command us to love one another as you have loved us… if we say we love you but don’t love others, your love is not in us… love comes with a cost…there is great joy in love and there is also pain that comes when those we love are taken from us…
Father, we need more of your love in this world…even though it hurts to lose those we love, love renews life and gives it meaning…it brings healing for those who have been hurt, abused, neglected and rejected…love brings comfort…love rights wrongs and changes hearts…love makes the world a better place and reminds us of you…it brings out the best parts of you in us…it gives us hope and reminds us of what is to come…it points to you…
Help us to love like you do…help our love to be patient and kind…help us to not seek our own way…help us to love well, so we are not easily provoked, offended or hold offenses against others…help us to forgive as you forgive…help us to put the needs of others before our own…help us to seek your will above our own…help us to spread your love…help us to be doers of the Word and not like those who hear the Word, yet are unchanged by it…may your love dwell in us and spill over onto everyone around us…
People may not always remember the things we do or say, but they will remember the way we made them feel…they will remember if they felt loved by us…if they felt cared for…if we encouraged and lifted them up…if we showed love not just in words, but in actions and the way we lived our lives…
Life is so short…none of us are guaranteed tomorrow…help us to make the most of each day and to live in such a way that we will have no regrets when our lives are over and when we stand before you…live in us and love through us… help us to abide in you Father. Thank you for loving us so well. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen
Blessings be upon you friends!
