Daily Prayer For May 10, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today
Dear Lord,
Nothing you do is random. You pay attention to the tiniest details of every living thing. To think that you know each of us by name…that you know each star by name and hold them all in place…it is so hard to comprehend all of your mighty works and all that you have created.
May those who struggle with their sense of self-worth…may those who have been beat up by the world and made to feel “less than”…may those who have known rejection and abuse and who have felt unloved and unwanted…may each one remember who they are in you…may they remember that Jesus was despised and rejected and well acquainted with sorrow and grief…we are told that if He who was perfect, was treated so harshly and wrongly, the world will treat us the same as well…help us to remember these truths…help us to cast off the chains that the enemy uses to enslave and trap us…help us to remember you love and adore us…heal our minds and hearts and clear our heads of the hurtful words we keep replaying and allowing to define us…take away their sting…help us to forgive those who hurt us…who the Son sets free is free…help us to walk in that freedom that Jesus bought for us.
The enemy comes to rob, kill and destroy…help us to be always on guard…help us to protect our minds with your truth…help us to never let anyone’s words become more important in our life than yours…help us to never let anyone’s opinion shape us…may your truth be what defines who we are, what we do and what we think …help us to remember the only titles that really matter in our lives are the ones that you give us.
Life is so brief and so fleeting and we spend so much time trying to overcome mistreatment by others…we give you all of our hurts, all of our pain, all of our self-loathing, all the feelings of failure and regret, all the mistakes that are etched in our brains, all of our feelings of inadequacy… we give everything to you and ask that you take these things once and for all. Heal us Lord, that we may be healed. Help us to let go. Help us to forgive… help us not to waste any more of our lives on these things that keep us from living the full and abundant life you have called us to.
We thank you there is healing in your name…we thank you there is freedom in your name…we thank you there is redemption and restoration in your name. Lord, we bow before you and trade the things that shackle us for your freedom, healing and restoration today. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
