Daily Prayer For March 6, 2018
Wed Mar 07, 2018 7:49 pm
Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your Word tells us to trust in you…we are told that when we trust you, we will be blessed…that you will lead and guide us as we trust and submit to you…that you will keep in perfect peace anyone who trusts in you…that we need not fear bad news when we trust in you…
Unfortunately, trust doesn’t come naturally…we only learn to trust you by being put in situations where we learn from first-hand experience that you are trustworthy…that you are who you say you are, and you do the things that you say you will do…faith is so different from trust…trust is tried and tested and born out of experience…we can’t learn to trust you just by reading about it or being told to do it…
There are many praying with us who are facing very difficult situations…some are in need of a job…others are in desperate financial situations…others are facing scary things for themselves or a loved one medically, while others are facing life-altering losses…
Lord, we lift to you each one who is facing a situation that is beyond their control…may they feel your nearness and comfort…may these trials be a catalyst for a deeper faith and sense of trust in you..may they remember all the things you have seen them through in life…you have not brought them this far to fail them now…your Word tells us that a nursing mother wouldn’t forget her child, but even if they did, you will not forget us…that you will be our God throughout our lifetime–until our hair is white with age. You made us, and you will care for us. You will carry us along and save us. May they find the courage to step out in faith and let go of their fear and anxiety, worried thoughts so they can find your peace in the midst of their storm…may what they are facing be the thing that helps them to abandon themselves totally to your care…anything you allow is always for a purpose and if any situation drives us into your arms, that is the good that comes from such trials… in the midst of our struggles, help us to seek the eternal gifts that the world can’t give or take away…things like your peace and to trust you so completely with our lives that we have no fear…
Faith is believing in what we can’t yet see…it means trusting in advance, what will only make sense in reverse…it is trusting when it makes no earthly sense to…may we find childlike faith and trust in you…faith that believes that you as our Father, will do what you have promised and that you will provide for our needs…that you will take care of us as a loving parent takes care of and watches over their beloved children. We commit ourselves and all we face into your hands Father…please do what only you can do.
In Jesus’ name, we ask these things. Amen
Praying and believing good things for you, friends!
