Daily Prayer For February 27, 2017
Thu Mar 02, 2017 8:22 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
You created us in such a way that we must grow and develop over time. We are not born fully grown…we are not born with the knowledge and abilities that we will need in adulthood…we must learn and grow gradually in every area of our lives… our spiritual maturity is a process as well. How wonderful it would be if we could just instantly have faith that doesn’t doubt and the ability to trust you without hesitation…but it rarely works that way….Lord, for all who are discouraged today because they are not in places they would like to be, we ask that you would speak to their hearts…lead and guide them to the things that will help them move forward … we pray for breakthroughs. We ask that you would grant insight, wisdom and guidance so we become the people you want us to be.
Except for Jesus, not one person who has walked this earth has ever got things perfectly right…everyone fails and falls short and has missed the mark… you know we will never be perfect this side of heaven…but where we are weak, your grace abounds. Where we stumble, you are there to pick us up…You believe in us, support us, nurture us and encourage us…you believe in us when others don’t…you believe in us even when we don’t believe in ourselves…
Oh, Lord…you are such a loving, kind, gracious Father, who knows each of us and all of our shortcomings, yet you love us unconditionally… May your spirit overwhelm us and fill us, even as we pray… we offer up all that we are and all that we hope to be… we offer up our hopes, desires and dreams, our cares, our worries, our fears, our anxious thoughts and our loved ones… Lord, we pray that you will be teachable and pliable in your hands…like a sponge soaking in all you have for us…
We love you Lord, and we thank you for how far you have brought us and we are beyond grateful, that you will keep doing new and good works in us until you call us home. We pray that with your power working in us and through us, we will bear much fruit and bring glory and honor to you in all that we say and do. As people often see parents reflected in their children, we pray that people will see you reflected in us. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Blessings to you all!
