Daily Prayer For February 6, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being that listening ear in the dark when no one else is around and we feel alone. Thank you for being our source of comfort when we are unable to sleep at night. Thank you for not only listening to us, but for taking our worries and cares from us as well…you know how important sleep is to us… you do not want us to be unable to sleep because we can’t shut our minds off… You want us to trust that you have everything under control so we can be at peace and sleep soundly. Help us not to take our problems back once we give them to you, Father…

Please help us to deal with our frustrations as we watch those we care about make poor choices…please heal the wounds we have that are inflicted by those we care about…so many find themselves in conflicts with loved ones…we can’t change anyone’s thinking or make them do what’s right. We can’t turn others from their sins, protect them from getting hurt, or keep them from hurting others. We can’t make anyone love us, or you… all we can do is work on our own issues, thoughts, responses and reactions. Please help us to let go and commit those we care about into your hands… help us to pray more and worry less…we know you want only the best for each of us and you are far more equipped to help anyone than we are…help us to find your peace in the midst of our situations that have no quick fix or easy resolution. We pray for miracles and for your will to be done.

Please help us to keep our eyes on you… Help us not to dwell on what used to be, what could have been or what we think might happen in the future. Please help our minds to not go to the worst case scenarios…you tell us not to worry about tomorrow, to just focus on today, but you know that’s not easy to do, Lord…especially when it comes to people we love…please give us your wisdom and lead us and guide us as we trust you to do what we can’t…help us to remember that you will help us to handle all that we face…help us to remember that you love our loved ones even more than we do.
We commit every area of our lives into your hands. We lay all of our worries, cares, burdens, ailments, hurts and needs at your feet and we ask to take our burdens, worries, fear and anxiety and we ask to exchange these things for your peace. We are thankful for your nearness and grace, Lord. We love you and ask these things in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen.
