Daily Prayer For February 4, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We ask to feel your nearness and to rise above all that is troubling us…help us to soar with wings like eagles so we rise above stress, anger, bitterness and negativity…help us not to be pulled into other people’s storms and drama…help us to set boundaries so we are not constantly engaging with those who thrive on conflict…help us to rise above the disappointment we feel when loved ones and friends let us down or hurt us…we give you all of our troubled relationships, Lord…please give us wisdom and show us how to do what we can, how to accept what we can’t change and how to give everything else to you and leave it in your hands…

Lord, give us the ability to love as you love and to see the difficult people in our lives through your eyes…we need your help to love our enemies…some times things happen to us that are beyond our own ability to forgive, but we know with your help, we can do all you’ve called us to do…please work in us so we can be more like Jesus. We know we are here to be lights in the darkness, to intercede for others, to share your hope with the hopeless, to comfort the hurting and to point the way to you…we know we need your guidance and love to change our hearts…to change our behavior…to change our thoughts…

We humble ourselves before you…please forgive us of our sins…may your Holy Spirit minister to us… please help us have a healthy balance and outlook in every area of our lives…you say that you will give wisdom to all who ask and we are asking, Lord…we need to know how you would have us navigate in this fast changing world…we need your help to speak your truth with love…we need your help to not be fearful…to not be judgmental… to not let the world make us hard or bitter…it would be so easy to be upset all the time, but that is not what you want for us…help us to stay the course and live our lives in a way that pleases you and brings glory to your name.

Lord, we pray for our leaders, our countries and our world… for our families, friends and enemies… for the destitute and the desolate, for the widow and orphan and all who don’t know you…we thank you in advance for meeting our needs and for the provision that is already on the way. We thank you for all you are preparing for those who love you. May you be glorified in all that we say and do. In the name of our Savior Jesus we pray. Amen
