Daily Prayer For November 21, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for being our strong tower…our place of refuge that we can run to when life becomes too hard…our place of comfort when people hurt us and are difficult to be around…our place of rest when we just feel beat up, worn down and empty…when we run to you we don’t have to explain what has happened…we don’t have to try to make you understand our side of things…we don’t have to try to convince you of anything…you see…you understand…you are full of compassion and long to comfort us and give us shelter from the storms and our enemies…you long to dry our tears, bear our burdens and take our pain upon yourself…

Thank you for being our loving Father and The Great Physician…you know what we need and when we need it…you are moved by our pain and you are never closer than when our hearts are breaking…you are Immanuel…The God who is with us…who is with each of us, every moment of every day…you are with us in our physical pain…in our loneliness…in our sorrow…in our times of uncertainty…you feel our sadness and brokenness…you feel our fear and anxiety…you understand each sigh and the unspoken words of our deepest pain and longings…

Lord, you tell us when we are weary and feel heavy laden with burdens to come to you and you will give us rest…we come to you today and we just lay everything before you…we give you are impossible situations that we just don’t know how to deal with…we give you our troubled relationships…we lay before you all of our financial needs…all of our illnesses, injuries, disabilities and physical pain…we give you our grief…we give you all of our concerns for our loved ones and friends and all the things they are dealing with… we give you our racing thoughts all of our stress and all the things that steal our joy, our peace and sleep…

Thank you for being the hope we cling to, even when things are hard…even when life feels like nothing more than something we just want to escape…you are the gift in the midst of it all…your presence…your comfort…your peace…you are our greatest blessing…the silver lining in every cloud…the hope that sustains us and the light that guides us…the promise that all of our struggles can’t begin to compare to the joy that is coming…thank you for sustaining us and seeing us through…

Take our lives, Lord…renew, refresh, restore, replenish every area that is depleted and in need of your touch…make our spirit’s and thoughts to be right, holy and pure…give us a new revelation of you and fresh insight about our circumstances…may our cups overflow with your peace. We love you, Lord and we are so very grateful for your saving grace. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
