Daily Prayer For November 18, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

There are many here who are struggling with the need to feel wanted…for those who are have felt unloved, unwanted or without purpose, please speak encouragement into their spirits. You know exactly how it feels to be unloved, unimportant, misunderstood and rejected…you know how the harsh words spoken in anger can cut and wound…you know what it is like to be the best you can possibly be… to do your best… and still have people find fault and say it’s not good enough…you’re not good enough…when we think that no one can understand or relate to what we think or feel, help us to remember all you’ve been through…

Lord, you see each person who is feeling lonely, isolated, unloved, unappreciated, forsaken, lost or abandoned…you see the tears cried during long, lonely nights…you feel the pain, the anxious thoughts and fears…you hear the cries of our hearts and know the deep longings that no one else knows about…Lord, please touch and comfort each one who is feeling these things…please pour out your grace and mercy and let each one feel like hey are being held by you…thank you for being that soothing presence that sits silently beside us through the long, dark nights, saying nothing but letting us know that we are not alone…

Thank you for being our constant companion…thank you for holding us up when we feel too weak to face another day…thank you for giving us the strength to keep putting one foot in front of another when we would rather just lay down and never get up…help us to remember that we are pressed on all sides, but we are not crushed…we are distressed, but not in despair, we are persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed…nothing will prevail against us because of Jesus…when we wait on you, we will gain new strength…your rod and staff will comfort us as you lead us beside still waters and restore our soul…

This life is not easy…but these struggles and difficulties remind us that this is not our home and that better things await…healing awaits…the fullness of your joy awaits…seeing Jesus face to face awaits…the end of sin, death, loneliness, rejection, harsh words, emptiness, despair, depression, anxiety, fear and worry awaits…give us strength to keep pressing on through the hard times…help us remember that these hard times and difficult things, can’t compare to the joy that is coming…help us remember that one day we will stand before you so full of your love that we have no words in our vocabulary to describe what that will be like…

Thank you for the promise of heaven…thank you for all the good things that are coming, but most of all we await the day we will be united with The One who loves us like no one ever has or ever will…We love you, Lord. We are grateful that we can come to you freely in Jesus’ name. Amen
