Daily Prayer For November 15, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

As we gather today, we pray for those who are dealing with acts of nature and disasters. We pray for the people of New Zealand who have had over 1000 earthquakes since that large 7.8 quake. We can only imagine how fearful, anxious and stressed they must feel. May they feel your nearness…for all the flooding and collapsed building and all who are being evacuated and affected in any way, we pray they would feel your nearness and comfort…please be their strength and we ask that you would calm the ground from shaking, Lord…

We pray for all the people in the southeast who are dealing with so many raging fires…Lord, they are dealing with a drought like so many other places in the world…we pray for rain, Lord…we ask for miracles and that you would open the heavens and make it rain to help the thousands of firefighters who are battling these fires…please be their strength…please protect them…please be with all who have been displaced and affected by these fires…so many are having difficulty breathing the air…Lord, we just ask you to do what only you can do.

As we are gathered together, we also want to pray for all who serve and for emergency personnel…whether it’s a firefighter, a person on a clean up crew, helicopter pilots who drop water…medical staff, law enforcement and all its branches…all who serve in the military…the linemen who keep our utilities up and running no matter what weather or disaster is going on…there are so many who have such difficult jobs and they often are taken for granted until there is an emergency. Please bless them for the way they bless us, protect us and sacrifice themselves for the betterment and well-being of others. Bless their families as well, as they often have to sacrifice as well so their loved ones can help others. Please keep them safe and be their strength.

Lord, we just ask for everyone who is need today…there are so many who are facing life-threatening situations for themselves or their loved ones…so many who are homeless and displaced…so many who are struggling to have food and the basic things…so many who are broken-hearted from loss and grief..so many who are dealing with estrangement and difficulties with family or friends…Lord, we just pray that people will find comfort knowing you are with them…we are so grateful to you Lord for being with us through the highs and lows…you don’t give up, you don’t run out…you don’t cast us aside…you are never too busy…nothing is too trivial or too big for you…thank you for your grace that sustains us…we thank you for all Jesus endured so we could find salvation and have hope…we thank you that no one is ever out of your grasp or reach…we lift up everyone we know who is in need and we pray that they will see you in the midst of their difficulties and that they will feel loved and cared for by you.
