Daily Prayer For November 11, 2016
Fri Nov 11, 2016 10:36 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
Your Word says that you are our light and salvation. What a comforting thought…you don’t just give us light, you are light…you yourself, shine a light in the dark places in this world…you come into the dark places of our hearts and minds and give yourself to dispel the darkness…
Lord, we ask that you would continue to work in us so that every bit of darkness is cast out…we pray that your light would burn bright within us and within this world…may your light of truth dispel the lies and deceit of the enemy…Help us to remember that we don’t need to be afraid of the dark, because it is not dark to you…
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we can’t see the light at all in our circumstances…it feels like we are groping along in a dark tunnel …from our vantage point, we don’t see how things will ever be okay again, but we know we can’t stay where we are and we can’t go back… help us during these dark nights of the soul to trust that you are there with us and help us to be unafraid to take steps forward…even if they’re baby steps, they will eventually lead us to where we can see the light again…help us to remember that we are not alone and you have promised to be our Shepherd who leads and guides us…You don’t just give us salvation, you are our salvation…you are the Voice crying in the wilderness, “Follow Me, Here I Am”…we’re told that your sheep hear your voice and listen and you know them and they follow you…you are always speaking to us…always calling to us to tell us the way we should go…
May we find comfort in your Word during our struggles…may we lay claim to your promises…may they not be just something we read, but may they become the life-line that pull us up out of the muck and mire of hopelessness, despair and grief…we’re told your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light on our path…you have anticipated all we will face…all we will need…you are the conscientious parent who has planned ahead and thought of every worse case scenario, every contingency plan, every possible need and you will faithfully move heaven and earth to make sure that not one scheme of the enemy will triumph over us…you are a good, good father…you love and care for us and you just call us to trust that you know the way we should go… help us to remember that you see everything that we can’t…you understand all that our minds can’t comprehend… you know the answers before we ask the questions because you have gone before us…
Thank you for all you do for us and for all that you are. We love you, Lord and we are grateful that we can come to you in Jesus’ name. Amen
God bless your friends!
