Daily Prayer For October 21, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today we lift up to you all who have been shunned, rejected or abandoned by others. We pray for all who have been bullied and mistreated… for all who have had lies told about them, been slandered, or falsely accused by others… for all who have paid the price for the actions of others and few know the truth…

You know all who are suffering in silence…you know all the secret longings for justice and for the truth to be revealed… all the dreams for things to be set right and for people’s true colors to be shown to others…Lord, help us to lay such things at your feet and trust your plan and your timing for dealing with such things…one day you will make all things right…what has been hidden in the dark will be revealed…but we ask at this moment, Lord, that you would bring healing…that you would bring hope…that you would redeem all that the enemy has meant for harm and bring good out of these hurtful situations…we pray that people would be set free from their pain…we pray they would find comfort knowing that you know the truth… that you are beside them on the sleepless nights…you believe in them…you know their worth and value even if others do not…

Lord, it’s hard to let go of these kinds of hurts…it’s hard to overcome feelings of self-doubt and feelings of being “less than”…it’s hard to walk with your head held high when you know others are thinking and saying things about you that aren’t true…it hurts when people who know you, and should know better, can believe the lies that have been said about you…it’s hard when people who are supposed to love you, are the ones who become your enemy…

Father, these kind of wounds can only be healed by you…you came to set us free…you told us that if Jesus was persecuted, rejected, and falsely accused we can expect the same…we are in the best of company…you are with us, as surely as you were with Jesus when he endured such mistreatment…help us remember that you are our defender and advocate…help us to let go of all the hurtful things and give them to you.

We also lift up all who have things in their past that they are not proud of…things that they have repented of and you have forgiven them for…yet they struggle to feel redeemed and forgiven when others don’t forget and constantly remind them of their past…we know that there are always consequences for our actions, but sometimes those things are hard to deal and cope with and too often others do not show the same compassion, forgiveness and mercy that you do…please give strength and courage in the face of such adversity…help each one to remember they are so loved by you.

Lord, you are the healer we turn to…you are the one who sets us free…you are the one who brings new life and redemption…Lord, please do what only you can..help us all to walk in your victory…help us to remember your banner over us is love…In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen
