Daily Prayer For September 22, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for this new day and this new season…we know that there is a time and a season for all things, but some periods are harder than others, Lord…

We pray for all who have been in a hard season… or seasons… that they would be filled with hopeful anticipation for what is coming… help them to cast off discouragement and doubt… help them to remember that as day follows night and spring follows winter, this is the dark before the dawn… you will bring much spiritual fruit from the long,difficult seasons in our lives…help us to remember that you are the vine and we are grafted into you…we receive all we need by your hand when we are close and connected to you…you will let nothing be wasted in our lives and you will provide every thing we need to thrive…

Many who are reading this have become so discouraged to the point they have lost hope…they don’t see a way out, or a way through…they don’t even believe there is a way… they don’t see any light and they can’t feel your nearness…they feel depleted in every way a person can be depleted…Lord, please rain down your grace…fill each person who feels empty with your Living Water…please bring them angels unaware, a scripture, a song or something that will remind them of your nearness… may they find your strength to carry on this day as they reach out their hands to touch the hem of your garment…may they feel your peace as they look to you instead of their troubling situations…may they be filled with comfort as they claim your promises…sometimes we give up right before we are about to see our blessing…to see the answer to our prayers…to see your promises fulfilled…we give up without knowing just how close we were…help us to persevere…help us to stand firm on your Word…help us to remember the power in your name and in your blood and that the enemy must flee when we speak your name…help us all to rise this day above every negative, self-defeating thought…help us to cast off any sense of guilt, shame or inadequacy…please forgive us for allowing anyone’s hurtful words, lies, or untruths to shape how we feel about life, our identities, self-worth or perceptions…it is only your opinion that matters, but too often we take to heart the words of mere men, over yours…

Lord, may your words burn bright in our hearts…may they kindle hope…may they bring renewal and new life…may they give us courage to stand, overcome and fight instead of laying down in fear or with a defeatist attitude…help us to rise…help beauty to rise this day…help us to be brave in the face of adversity, because of who you are…thank you for calling us your own…Lord, please put a hedge of protection around all who need it today. We thank you for hearing our prayers and we give you thanks in advance for all you will do. In the name of our risen Savior, Jesus, we pray. Amen
