Daily Prayer For July 18, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up to you all who are needing hope. Father, so many are grieving the loss of loved ones…others are grieving as they watch their loved ones suffering…others are dealing with failing health themselves and so many just need encouragement from you that they are going to overcome the pain, heartache and loss they are dealing with. Thank you for your Word…thank you Lord, for the words of hope and encouragement it contains.
Your Word tells us that you are the God of hope and that we should rejoice in hope…that the hope of the righteous brings joy…that we should hope in you and hope in what we cannot see…that we grieve, but not as those who have no hope…
Oh, Lord, you don’t tell us not to grieve…you don’t tell us not to cry, or not to have heavy hearts when we see those we love suffer. You don’t tell us not to have broken hearts when we see pain and heartache and all that is wrong in this world…you don’t tell us not to mourn when we lose someone…you tell us there is a time to mourn… you tell us to grieve with those who grieve and you tell us that blessed are those who mourn, because they will be comforted by you…you, the God of all creation, comes to us to comfort us and to wipe our tears…you know every emotion we face…you grieve, you weep, you care, your heart breaks right along with ours, you are also full of loving kindness and compassion…you understand all we go through…But you don’t want us to lose hope… you don’t want us to despair…you don’t want us to give up…you tell us to look up…to trust in you…to let your hope fill us and bring us joy…to trust and hope in your Word…to remember that you give us a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
Oh, Lord, may every hurting, heavy heart be filled up with hope as they remember your words and your truth. May they remember your goodness and all of your promises you have fulfilled… our hope is not in people, places or things…our hope is in you, the One True God…you will not fail to be near to the broken-hearted or to bind our wounds and you will not fail to turn our mourning to dancing… we have the hope of glory and wonderful reunions that await us. Oh, Father, please pour out your grace and bring healing and hope as only you can. In the name of our beloved Savior Jesus we ask these things. Amen.
May you be filled to overflowing with His peace, hope, love and joy!
