Daily Prayer For July 10, 2016
Tue Jul 12, 2016 1:07 am
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Heavenly Father…
When our hearts are overwhelmed, we need you to sustain us…the scriptures say, “When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to The Rock, that is higher than I”… We need you to lift us above the pressures, demands and the times when we feel overcome by pain. Please help us to remember that you are the solid rock underneath our feet that steadies us, even in the midst of uncertain times.
Lord, please help us surrender and release everything that weighs on us. So much in this world is troubling and disturbing, and we feel helpless to do anything …help us to remember you are in control and you are not helpless. Help us to surrender and trust… help us to turn our worry time to prayer time. So often we see prayer as a concession…like there is nothing else we can do, so we’ll pray… or we tell people we’re sorry, all we can do is pray…but prayer is the first thing we should do…it’s the most helpful thing we can do…it’s not something to do when there are no other options…it’s the first line of defense for everything we come against in this life.
Lord, we ask if there is anything in our lives that may hinder our prayers, please show us. We know that doubt and unbelief hinders prayer…Lord, we ask for more faith. We ask for more Holy boldness. We ask for help to be persistent with our prayers…We ask for you to show us how to pray effectively…
Help us to be full of your loving kindness and may that have a ripple effect to impact those we come in contact with. Father, ultimately, we can only change ourselves …we can’t make people see the light or do the right things…we can only pray for others and release them to your loving care…help us to let go and leave to you the things that are beyond our control…help us to accept and come to terms with the things that we are helpless to change… Help us not to judge or condemn…help us to have compassion, even if we don’t understand or can’t relate…help us to be slow to speak and slow to anger and may are words be seasoned with grace. If we are tempted to speak harshly, remind us to pray instead. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
May you see God’s miracles all around you today!
