Daily Prayer For June 16, 2016
Tue Jun 21, 2016 8:42 pm
Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the beauty of this world…we thank you for your promise of a future that is more wonderful than our minds can begin to comprehend. We thank you that our trials and afflictions which seem to go on endlessly, are only temporary compared to eternity…that they can’t begin to compare to the joy that is coming…the beauty that is coming…the healing and restoration that is coming…what seems so hard and too long and impossible to endure here, is just the blink of an eye compared with eternity.
Father, please carry those who are hurting…sometimes we are too tired to walk…too weary to care…too exhausted to want to try to hold on…you know each person who is in that place…you hear the silent cries and see all the brokenness…Lord, we ask that they may feel your hand on their shoulder…we ask that they would feel the weariness being lifted…we plead for mercy and grace and for their will to be replaced with yours…their strength to be replaced with yours…their hurt to be replaced with your joy…their feelings of being defeated, to be replaced with the knowledge that what they can’t do by themselves, they can do through you…
Even Jesus knew what it was like to feel weary and to feel the weight of heavy burdens and demands. He would go off by Himself to pray and to spend time with you. Help us to follow His example…help us to recognize that if Jesus had to recharge by being in your presence, then we must have an even greater need to do so. Lord, we pray that we will use the tools and armor you have given us and not allow the enemy’s fiery darts to overtake us…we are in a battle and the fighting is fierce, but that is not the time to give up…it’s the time to fight harder… it’s the time to make a stand so we don’t lose any further ground…it’s the time to take back the things that the enemy has tried to take from us…it’s the time to call on you and your angel armies…we do not fight alone…you have answers waiting for prayers that we have yet to pray…
Lord, we intercede and stand in the gap for those who are overwhelmed by grief, struggle, pain and loss…we raise our hands as well and we ask that you fill us and bless us…please help us to keep moving forward and to keep looking up to you. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen
Praying blessings of peace, comfort and strength for each of you!
