Daily Prayer For March 23, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

You are all too aware that we live in a world that is full of brokenness…broken lives, broken marriages, broken families, broken relationships, broken bodies, broken spirits, broken hearts, broken trust, broken plans, broken dreams…and all of this brokenness causes such incredible pain…you know…you know because you felt the weight of all of it on the cross…

Every tear that we shed is reflected in every drop of your spilled blood…Our cries are reflected in your cries to your Father, “Why have you forsaken me?”as you bore the weight of all of our pain and sin…every blow we have ever been dealt in life you have felt blow for blow physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually…you know the feelings of pain, grief, loss, being forsaken and alone…of being overwhelmed and full of anxiety…of being rejected and falsely accused and persecuted…you know all too well the pain of living in this fallen world…it made you weep when you were here and it makes you weep still…You grieve with us, you wipe our tears and hug our hurting hearts…you pray and intercede and watch over us and whisper to us that you are near and that we are not forgotten or forsaken … you cared so much about what we go through that you gave your life to redeem it all…to make a way where there was no way…

Lord, help us remember that this is the dark before the dawn… there is something far greater that is coming after all the tears, pain and loss…joy and gladness are coming to replace the grief…this is the time of weeping before the dancing…the time of illness before the permanent healing…the time of sewing tears of sorrow, before reaping a harvest of your beauty and splendor in our lives…beauty will rise from the ashes…you will rebuild all the enemy has stolen and torn down…instead of shame and disgrace we will enjoy our inheritance…you love justice and will make right all the wrongs…you will reward your children for their faithfulness…you will dress us in garments of salvation and righteousness as we sing songs of praise…

Help us Lord, to remember these trials and hard things in this life are but a vapor compared to eternity…nothing can compare to the joy that is coming…the healing that is coming…the restoration that is coming…the utter joy that is coming when we will be united with you…may your promises be a soothing balm for us on the hard days…may we hear your voice and remember the many ways you show your love and tender mercy towards us. We bow before you, Lord and thank you for being our Savior in whose name we can pray. Amen
