Daily Prayer For November 23, 2015

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up all who are missing loved ones today. The holidays can be such a hard time. We lift up all who are feeling alone, isolated or forgotten. We pray for those who are grieving the loss of someone they love…we pray for those who are feeling overwhelmed with sadness from their losses…

Lord, you are the God of all comfort…the God of compassion. Some people think you are unmoved by our struggles…that you have no compassion, but nothing could be further from the truth…our tears are precious to you…the molecular structure of our tears changes depending on if we shed happy tears, or tears of sorrow, or even when crying from an onion…our tears even contain our DNA…our tears give physical proof that we are seen and known and our pain can be seen in our tears and they are as unique and as individualized as our DNA… your Word says you care so much you keep track of our tears and collect them…Jesus knows about tears…He wept…He knows about pain and sorrow…He was well acquainted with grief…He feels what we feel and sits at your right hand interceding for us…

We thank you Lord, for your understanding…for your compassion…for taking note of all we go through and for walking with us through the difficulties and tragedies we face…we thank you for the hope we have in you and for the assurance that one day you will wipe the last tears from our eyes and redeem everything we have been through…

Lord God, help us to praise you in our storms…help us to see the silver lining in the gray clouds…what the enemy has meant for harm, you intend for good…all the trials of this life are working in us an eternal weight of glory…they can’t begin to compare with the joy that is coming…they are drawing us close to you…making us seek you out for your comfort and peace that you supply in abundance to those who seek it… Help us not to grow weary in doing the things you tell us to do to help ourselves and others…help us to press into you and to hold on to you as though our lives depended on it…because they do…we need you, Lord, oh how we need you…we need you to turn our weeping to dancing…our mourning to joy…to take our heavy burdens and replace them with your gentle yoke…

Father, please anoint the heavy-hearted with your grace…wrap your arms around them and assure them of your presence…may they truly grasp your goodness and mercy and know that you will lead them beside still water and restore their soul…thank you, Lord..thank you for your goodness…thank you for pouring yourself into us so we might endure with confident assurance and hope in our hearts. Please go before us this day and fill the broken places with more of yourself…be glorified in our lives and circumstances…in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
